Circle Core (サークルコア, Sākuru Koa^?) is the second boss of the second boss rush in Gradius V.

Description

The Circle Core is similar to the Planet Core from Gradius IV. It also bears a resemblance to the Zub, and more so to the Anthlax.

Attack patterns

Circle Core rolls clock wise or counter-clock-wise in a arena which the player is in. As it rolls, it releases Grashia 2 enemies, and after a certain amount of time, Circle Core stops and the arena turns clockwise or counter-clockwise while Circle Core jumps off and rolls again. In higher loops, the core will fire tiny lasers from the 4 small guns on its hull, resembling the brief attack of the Anthlax.
