Bubble is a recurring enemy in the Gradius series.

Description

Bubbles are hazards which appear in the second stage of Gradius III and third stage of Gradius IV, appearing as multicolored large water/soap bubbles of various sizes. Sometimes, an enemy called Enigma can be found inside of these bubbles.

Patterns

They move erratically around the screen, splitting into multiple, smaller bubbles when shot at (not unlike the Ice from Gradius II). Only when they're reduced to tiny bubbles they can be destroyed.

These bubbles also appear in the Parodius series, having the same patterns as in the Gradius games. Much like in Gradius III, they also sometimes come with enemies inside of them, such as High-School Girls.
